This was recommended in a podcast and I thought I'd give it a try. I've been slowly getting into band documentaries so why not.

Having never heard them before, for the first few minutes I kept wondering whether this was real or a mockumentary. Some of the stuff that was happening just came out of nowhere and seemed heavily staged to follow a narrative.

They do have some good riffs.

Bookmarked Technoelitism and the IndieWeb movement

"For those in the IndieWeb community, think about ways that we can make it easier for non-technical people to get involved in the movement." [emphasis added]

This topic has come up a lot fairly recently, both in other blogs and in Homebrew Website Club meetings. Tracy also wrote a brilliant post about this a few months ago.

It wasn't as bad as I expected based on all the negative stuff I'd heard about it before.

Spoilers: I didn't really like the design of the newborn but the fact that the creature emotes so much in its final scene was very impressive. For a second, you really feel for them as they look at Ripley.

Bookmarked The Coven and the Jedi: Do The Acolyte’s Witches’ Fit in Star Wars?

Great read about "The Acolyte" and where the Coven fits in the Star Wars universe. As a Jedi fan, I do like seeing more stories that subtly (or not so subtly) point out the flaws of the Jedi.

I'm excited for the ending and for potentially more Coven stories in whatever form they come.

I was prepared to cry. I was expecting it to be about a certain kind of loss but it was much more than that.

It is about grief and throughout you grieve with Andrew Scott's character so that eventually, hopefully, there is some acceptance.
